Adapted by Jon Ludwig, Center for Puppetry Arts
Directed by Clint Thornton
2008-09 Family Series
Heyo and Welcome! Five country cousins fill the stage with live music
and delightful stories about Brer Rabbit and his friends. The fun begins
as the gang gathers to sing an early morning ditty. But competition gets
the best of them when the characters begin a battle for bragging rights.
Who is the swiftest? The strongest? The smartest? Brains beat brawn when
Brer Bear, Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit, Sister Mud Turtle and Sister Bird find
themselves in a briar patch of trouble. So, join the whole gang for a
romp through the old South.
Center for Puppetry Arts patrons can visit The Wren's Nest – home
of Brer Rabbit and all his critter friends – for just $1 with a
ticket stub from the show! Click
