Behind-The-Scenes Tours

Time: Every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and by special request for groups of 10 or more
Puppet-Making Museum Storage

Take a special Behind-The-Scenes Tour at the Center for Puppetry Arts and get a peek at how puppet magic is made! You'll get a rare glimpse of the museum storage room, whe re puppets hang out when they're not on display. You might see puppets that look like Smurfs, a colorful marionette that looks like a kite, a kangaroo with spangly bracelets and the oldest puppets in our collection - pre-Columbian clay figures. Then watch puppet-making in action! The stars of the Center's productions - and the sets - are all made in our puppet-making studio with foam, wood, cloth and more! You'll also get to view our Distance Learning Studio. This tour is a must-see whether you're new to puppetry or think you have it all figured out.
