Trip Guidelines

Our Ticket Sales Office is open seven days a week to answer your questions and facilitate your order. Advance reservations are highly recommended as many performances sell out up to a year in advance.

Please call 404.873.3391 to speak to a Ticket Sales Representative Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm, or Sunday 11am - 5pm. You may also download a 2008-09 group order form and mail or fax it to the Center.

Please read these Trip Guidelines carefully as they include important information on how to make a group reservation, points to keep in mind when calling to reserve tickets, and guidelines to help us ensure that your visit is fun, safe and stress-free.

How to make a group reservation
  1. REVIEW: Carefully review the information on all of our shows and activities. Please note that the Mainstage Theater seats 350, the Downstairs Theater seats 170, the Education Classrooms hold a total of 120 (40 per classroom), and the lunchroom holds 130. We can easily accommodate large groups, but may need to break your group into smaller segments.
  2. SUBMIT: Mail, fax or phone your order as soon as possible, as many of our activities sell out quickly. If you know the dates you wish to attend, please specify on the order form, or attach a second sheet if necessary. Please list the activity, date and time you wish to attend, and the number of tickets.
    • Preferred: Call 404.873.3391. The Ticket Sales Office is open seven days a week to facilitate your order. Open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm; Sunday 11am-5pm, with extended hours during evening performances.
    • Mail a completed group order form with your check to: Center for Puppetry Arts, ATTN: Ticket Sales Office, 1404 Spring Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
    • Fax completed form to 404.873.9907 with your credit card number. MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express accepted. We will call to confirm receipt.
  3. Confirmation: If we cannot confirm your first choice date, we will notify you of available dates. If you do not receive confirmation within 10 days, please contact the Ticket Sales Office at 404.873.3391.
  4. Payment: Include payment with your order or send payment four weeks prior to each show. Your confirmation will include "payment due" dates. A copy of the confirmation form should accompany your payment. Payments received after the due dates will be returned and your tickets canceled unless you have made special arrangements for payment extension. If you order 3-show subscriptions, your full payment is due four weeks prior to the first show you attend.
  5. Tickets: Your tickets will be held at the Ticket Sales Office for you to pick up the day of the show. Group tickets are not refundable. Rainchecks will be issued for tickets not used on the day of performance. All activities, dates and time subject to change.
  6. Tax Exempt Groups: Organizations who are exempt from paying Georgia State Sales Tax must provide a letter from the Dept. of Revenue Sales and U.S. Tax Division certifying tax exemption. Orders not accompanied by this tax-exempt letter will be returned for complete payment.
  7. TITLE 1 SCHOOLS: The Center offers the special rate of $5 per person for single show Family Series tickets and $8 per person for single show New Directions Series for Teens & Adults to Title 1 Schools. Schools that are certified as Title 1 must provide a copy of their certification to receive this rate. For more information, call the Ticket Sales Office or click here.

Arrival and Check-In
  • Please plan to arrive at the Center at least 30 minutes prior to your earliest scheduled event to allow time to park, check in at the Ticket Office, visit the restrooms, and get seated in the theater.
  • Late arrivals for performances and educational activities will be admitted at the discretion of the Center.
  • Please follow the directions of Center personnel for easy movement throughout the building.
  • If the person who arranged the trip is different from the leader who is attending, please be sure that all information and contracts are passed to the correct person.
  • Please have a total count of children and adults in your group when you arrive.
  • You will receive rainchecks for unused tickets.
  • If your group needs special handicapped seating, please notify the Ticket Office prior to your arrival.
  • Please prepare your group for what they will see. Lighting in the theater is low and the theater is darkened as the show begins. This can be unnerving to young children.
  • Please explain to your group that there is no eating, drinking, or talking during the performance. Laughter is welcome!
We look forward to seeing you at the Center for Puppetry Arts!
