The Institute of Museum and Library Services, an independent federal agency
that grows and sustains a "Nation of Learners," because lifelong
learning is critical to success.
The Center's Museum
is currently evaluating the preservation needs of its collection of more
than 650 Asian puppets and conducting a comprehensive inventory of Museum's
collection of nearly 2,000 puppets and related performing objects from
around the world. The projects are supported in part by grants from the
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Any views, findings,
conclusions or recommendations expressed through these projects do not
necessarily represent those of IMLS.

The Center's Museum
is currently assessing the conservation needs of puppets to be included
in a new long-term exhibition of the Center's permanent Museum collection.

four years, the Center has received funding from the Shubert Foundation
in New York for support of the Center's theater season.

a generous three-year grant from the SunTrust Funds - Florence C. &
Harry L. English Memorial Fund, Harriet McDaniel Marshall Trust, Walter
H. & Marjory M. Rich Memorial Fund, and Thomas Guy Woolford Charitable
Trust Fund. This grant helped the Center purchase a new ticketing system
and in assisting with other capital needs.

participant in the New Generations Program, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable
Foundation/The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre
Communications Group, the national organization for the American theatre.
Support from this program is helping to support the Center's outreach
